- Japanese culture (traditional clothing, food, architecture, gardens, holidays, and more)
- We will make one Japanese sweet!
- Calligraphy lesson
- Japanese art lesson
- Tanabata celebration (summer celebration)
- Japanese games
- Origami
- How to write one’s name in Japanese
- Basic greetings
- Numbers
- Days of the week
- How to say one's birthday
- Colors
- Names of body parts
- Vocabulary for everyday items that we use/see daily
- How to ask, “What is it?” and to answer in a simple sentence
- How to ask, “Where is ____?” and to answer in a simple sentence
- How to ask, “Whose is it?” and to respond in a simple sentence
- How to make possessive nouns
- A few basic adjectives
- A few basic verbs
- Some Hiragana (Japanese alphabet) and how the Hiragana system is organized
- Japanese onomatopoeias
And this year, we will have an excursion for the first time!
Cancellation Policy - Please consider this when you sign up for the camp.
As a significant amount of the cost of the camp is invested long before the program date, refunds vary based on the amount of advanced notice you can provide.
If you need to withdraw your child from a camp, you must inform us in writing via email (info@akaritranslations.com).
- You will be refunded 60% of the fee minus the non-refundable $50 application fee for cancellations made more than 20 days prior to the first day of the camp (until 8 am of 7/9), or you will be refunded 100% if you secure another paying family who would take your child's spot. (A refund will be issued once the family's payment is cleared.)
- You will be refunded 30% of the fee minus the non-refundable $50 application fee for cancellations made between 15 and 19 days prior to the first day of the camp (until 8 am of 7/14), or you will be refunded 100% if you secure another paying family who would take your child's spot. (A refund will be issued once the family's payment is cleared.)
- No refunds will be administered for cancellations within 14 days of camp, or you will be refunded 100% if you secure another paying family who would take your child's spot. (A refund will be issued once the family's payment is cleared.)
